What is Reiki?
Reiki is an complementary, energy-based therapy system with spiritual elements which can be used to improve physical, emotional and mental disorders through the channelling of Reiki energy via the practitioners hands. It is considered to be a form of holistic therapy as it treats the person's whole body and mind.
Reiki was developed by a Japanese Tendai monk and physician Mikao Usui in 1922. Since the 1980s, Reiki has gained great public interest and become a popular form of hand-on energy healing method in the Western world.
How does Reiki work?
Reiki practitioners go through a rather extensive training process to reach various levels up to that of Reiki Master, and at each level they learn additional skills, such as distance healing, past life regression, chakra balancing and energy cleansing.
Reiki works by tuning into the universal life force (a form of spiritual energy) which exists in and all around us. But many of us who lead a busy, modern life is entirely disconnected and unaware of the existence of such energy, in other world, we are 'out of tune' from the harmonies life force which in turn bring disorder to our physical and emotional health.
During a Reiki treatment, Reiki practitioner acts as a vessel for this energy to flow through their hands into the recipient. A Reiki treatment will usually last between 45 and 60 minutes as various parts of the energy centres of the body are treated for three to five minutes at a time.
As a ntural, safe holistic therapeutic method, Reiki can be used to improve all manner of conditions and it can be used just as effectively on animals, pets and plants.

As a fully trained and qualified Reiki practitioner and teacher. I have been practicing Reiki since 2008 and have been teaching Reiki courses since 2010 in both UK and internationally. As an experienced holistic therapist and natural medicine practitioner, I aim to incorporate my diverse interdisciplinary therapeutic background to my consultations. It is my goal to tailor make each session according to your individual needs so as to bring out potent and life enhancing improvements that fulfil your long term health and wellness objectives.
Our initial consultation will last for 60 minutes. This process culminates in an individually tailored plan that actively engages you in your health and wellness goals. Ample time is afforded at the end of the visit to discuss the plan and answer any questions.
Follow-up visits are 60 minutes also and are used to assessment how well the plan fits and to make any necessary adjustments.
