What is Neuro-Linguistic Programming?
Neuro Linguistic Programming (or NLP) is an alternative form of psychotherapy bafication skillful uss of language and communication to support self and personal change. NLP was developed in the 1970s by a linguist, John Grindler and Richard Bandler, a mathematician and hypnotherapist. Their work was based on that of three prominent psychotherapists - Virginia Satir, Fritz Perls and Milton H. Erickson.
Today, as an very accessible form of psychotherapy, it is used as a tool for business communication, as well as in sports and for interpersonal life coaching.
Instead of diagnosing and treating mental or behavioural issues as most forms of psychotherapy do, Neuro Linguistic Programming is interested rather in how clients perceive themselves and any pre-conceived ideas that they have about their problems. The techniques and protocols used in NLP do vary from practitioner to practitioner but the general techniques include anchoring, reframing, rapport and Swish. Some forms of hypnosis may also be involved in a NLP session. Generally, NLP works by re-programming our mental and physical bodies in order to bring about positive changes in one's mind and behaviours.

Nowadays, it is quite commonly used by life coaches and for business development. It is also widely used to improve conditions such as phobias, addictions and for personal development, relationship problems and for enhancing sports performance.

Our initial consultation will last for 90 minutes. This process culminates in an individually tailored plan that actively engages you in your health and wellness goals. Ample time is afforded at the end of the visit to discuss the plan and answer any questions.
Follow-up visits are 60 miniutes and are used to assess how well the plan fits and to make any necessary adjustments.
